PRE PHOTOSHOOT CHECKLIST

 

EXTERIOR

• Move all vehicles away from the property where possible.

• Hide all garden tools / hose pipes / watering cans etc.

• Mow lawns and have a general tidy and declutter of the outside areas

• Clear and tidy all terrace areas, straighten outside tables and furniture.

• If you have a swimming pool ensure that it is clean and the pool area is clear and tidy.

• Open all shutters.

 

INTERIOR

• Less is often more when it comes to photographing an interior space.

• Where possible have a general clean and tidy and remove any unnecessary clutter.

• Organise and tidy all visible storage.

• Hide shoes, coats, personal items from hallways.

• Hide all cables, stacks of paperwork, and personal items.

• Hide children toys and games.

• Hide clothes, personal items and nick-knacks in bedrooms.

• Make all beds and arrange pillows.

• Hide toiletries in bathrooms such as toothbrushes, soaps, shower gels etc. Put new toilet rolls on holders. Hide bins and toilet brushes.

• In the kitchen remove as much as possible from the work surfaces, chopping boards, small electrical items, sponges, cloths and soaps. The kitchen is one of the main selling points of a home and the clearer the better. 

• Hide any pet food bowls, beds and litter trays.

• Clear any appliances of magnets and notes.
